Sustainable Mobility Centers
Those Two parallel projects started in 2021 with the victory of the tender on the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan.
The Metropolitan Territorial Plan identifies the “priority areas of urban regeneration of metropolitan importance”, in which promote the formation of urban polarities with the presence of services for citizens, commuters and tourists, as well as commercial, accommodation and recreational activities.
The participatory process developed for the future Mobility Centers of Castel S. Pietro Terme and Vergato used innovative and comparative methodological tools, with the long-term goal of creating a sense of belonging between the various actors and local communities. Through a series of interactive activities and moments of dialogue with local citizens, the participatory process supported the development of architectural design through a lens of inclusion and dissemination.
The participatory planning of the first two Mobility Centers of the Bologna metropolitan PUMS required the development of an ongoing communication program, articulated on various media and made up of two main elements: the activity of involving and informing citizens (the multi-subject campaign) and the construction of the visual identity system of the future Mobility Centers (the coordinated image), this part was created in collaboration with the Studio Talpa of Bologna.
A complete project, in which creativity is at the service of public utility because it concretely responds to some of the needs expressed by the guidelines for the planning of Mobility Centres: participation and recognisability. The first objective was achieved during the participatory process, the second looks to the future.
