Complete renovation of a villa in the hills of Bologna. The kitchen has been renewed and custom-made furniture has been designed. The house, originally from the 1930s in one of Bologna’s garden neighborhoods at the foot of the hills, has been punctured in almost every wall to let in light and greenery. The ground floor plan, once dark and perhaps closed in on itself, now opens up to the garden and visually connects all the daytime spaces. A family of silent and discreet custom-made furniture has been designed, with clean and honest lines, as if it were a backdrop to the master. Mustard, a shade from the Periwinkle range, and ice alternate and mix happily and defined. A tribute to Franco Albini, who designed the bookcase in 1957 for Cassina.
